Ardakan (Persian: اردكان, also Romanized as Ārdaḵān) is a city in and the capital of Sepidan County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,212, in 3,534 families.[1]
On 5 January 2011 an earthquake with 5.3 magnitude occurred near the city. The town is very famous for its great ice cream.[2]
